Attention: Amazon now offers a Version 2 of this product: Asus nVidia GeForce GT220 1 GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI Low Profile PCI-Express Video Card ENGT220/DI/1GD3(LP)/V2

I bought this for my parents Windows-7 computer, adding a competitively priced mid-level graphics module with excellent 3-D/video acceleration. It almost got returned, but I'm too stubborn to let go of it. It's not a 'silent' card either. And while GT 220 is optionally available in custom factory configuration from HP, you'll pay a couple hundred dollars extra, since the dinky power supply (standard rating 220 watts where 350 watts were needed) is only limited availability, and must be replaced to keep the GT 220 happy...Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great HTPC companion, June 20, 2010

Except that the fan is a little noisy, I like everything about this GT220 card. Very nice picture quality and HDMI audio works well too. I am using it with element pc linux distro (ubuntu 9.10 based). Far superior than my onboard ATI hdmi video out. Basically the linx drivers for nVidia create the magic. Good price after a $20 rebate that I got.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Card at a Great Price - With One Caveat, May 24, 2010

Dropped this card into a USFF HP Dual Core and it's done wonders for overall video performance. Able to run FSX at very good frame rates. As usual amazon's pricing and shipping are second to none.

Oh yeah, the caveat: this card has an HDMI port, and the nVidia driver seizes control of your computers' audio ports. It has rendered my on-board audio ports useless. Searching google finds no practical solutions to this driver snafu by nVidia....
