This review is from: BFG NVIDIA GeForce 210 512 MB DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card BFGE210512D2E (Personal Computers) The card allowed my computer to play recent games without having to upgrade my power supply. That was the key factor in determining what to purchase, and I am still satisfied with my purchase after many months. However, the company, BFGTech, went out of business, so I'm stuff with a card that has no tech support. Thankfully, I can get driver updates from the official nvidia site, so that's not a problem.
I have noticed that this card overheats easily. It regularly runs at a fairly high tempurature. That said, as long as I don't do anything graphically intensive, it definitely performs well. For a budget card with low power consumption, this was a great purchase. I think you might want something more powerful if you are a gamer. This review is from: BFG NVIDIA GeForce 210 512 MB DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card BFGE210512D2E (Personal Computers) this card went into my kids gateway with onboard video and it worked perfectly out of the box and the computer picked up a lot of speed and the video skipping it was prone to completely stopped. I would highly recommend this. To update this review. This card locks up the computer. Bfg tech does not answer their phone line or answer their email. It has caused the computer to lockup multiple time with only the on off switch to get out of the mess. I would never buy a bfg product again under any circumstances. 2 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: BFG NVIDIA GeForce 210 512 MB DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card BFGE210512D2E (Personal Computers) I purchased this graphics card on feb. 11 and did not receive it till 2 weeks later. When i received it, i was extremely excited to install into my emachine w3609 (which it is suppose to be compatible with). I installed the card exactly how i was suppose to, video looked awesome....but no sound output from hdmi. Called the tech support over 10 times since then and have yet to successfully watch movies on my PC. I even sent it back to the manufacturer for a replacement (manufacturers suggestion) and still the same issue with the replacement....no sound. So now not only am i out of the 30 day refund with the retailer, im also waiting around for a computer guru that is suppose to call me and fix the issue, why this wasnt done after the 3rd time i called tech support, is unknown. |
