Among these were the 3DFX Voodoo3 3000, the Diamond Monster Fusion, and the Diamond Viper V770. Of all the cards I have ever had, and I've had quite a few in my quest for gaming supremacy, the most unstable card was the Voodoo3 3000. Horrible board... made me sick. The Diamond Monster Fusion wasn't too bad, but lacked support for some video modes and was weak in throughput. But, just when I was about to give up on the new generation of video boards, I stumbled upon the Diamond Viper V770, WOW! This card is, by far, the most stable, versatile, smoothest/fastest card I have ever tried. Albeit, it gives it's best performance in 4x AGP/32-bit mode on a suitable Mainboard, it wasn't bad in 2x either. Christiansen (Cedar Falls, Iowa) - See all my reviews This review is from: Diamond Multimedia Viper V770 AGP Graphics Card (Personal Computers) I got the V770 to replace an aging Creative TNT video card with 8mb of video memory. The Diamond card blew my mind with its performance! Using my slower, Celeron-based system, the Diamond V770 cranked out very impressive frame rates in Falcon 4.0, which is my mainstay in computer gaming. A superb card, very simple installation, and a great price make this a perfect card for someone wanting performance without extra features found in some other, more expensive cards. Outstanding! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By "szeoli" (FPO, AP United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Diamond Multimedia Viper V770 AGP Graphics Card (Personal Computers) I bought this card and was sorry I did. Out of the 5 games I had requiring 3D acceleration, it was only compatible with 2. Diamond is going away, so good luck getting tech support. I suggest you buy any other NDIVIA graphics card. |
