Summary: A very nice card for the price. 2010-02-24
Comment: Needed a video card to be able to play some of the newer games coming out today.
Did not have a great deal of money to spend.
Looked at the 9500 and it had good specs and so far it has lived up to what I
wanted in a low price video card.
I can now play 'Modern Warfare 2' and that was worth it for sure!
Keep up the good work guys,

Summary: Excellent upgrade from stock cards, value for cost 2010-02-22
Comment: I own a Dell Dimension 9150 (3.2 GHz P4 w/4 GB RAM) that was shipped with an ATI X300SE 128MB card, which had one VGA/one DVI out. I use two monitors, an Optiplex Q19wb 16x9 and the OEM Dell 17" monitor.

Installing this card in my x16 PCI Express slot was simple...I powered down the PC, removed the old card, and installed the new one. The card ships with two DVI to VGA adapters, since the output for the card is DVI, these adapters are needed for normal VGA operation...something not noted in the product description at my time of purchase, and I almost bought an extra adapter, but I am glad I waited to find them in the box!

I booted the PC, and my system recognized it immediately, and searched for hardware...insert the enclosed disc, and within a few minutes, the software installed. The secondary screen was not available, and the original screen was skewed on completion...I rebooted, and the GForce software came up upon Win XP SP3 load.

The interface was extremely easy to use, it guided me through setup for each monitor and let me choose settings I needed. I like that fact that it allows me to run each monitor independently with different refresh rates, color balance and size, while still allowing my secondary monitor to be an extension screen of the first. There are several to choose from, including identical, separate or clone.

The hardware acceleration setups are very simple, offering a slider bar to help the user choose from Performance or quality, or a balance. The active DirectX display video shows you the difference as you adjust the bar.

There is also a setting that allows you to use a test pattern to allow your monitors to self-adjust based on the video output.

Included in the package: Card, S-Video cable, S-Video to component out adapter, two DVI to VGA adapters, Setup disc and short manual

I found this card to be an excellent and low cost upgrade for my PC from 128MB to 1 GB which allows me to use software such as video editing (Magix Movie Edit Pro 15 Plus in full HD AVCHD mode with little lag), and Google Sketchup with faster rendering and less system hang.

An excellent buy, all around efficient card, and easy to install with average computer skills.

Summary: Good Price, Great Card 2010-02-11
Comment: I am very pleased my GeForce 9500! It took no more than ten minutes from the time I took it out of the box till the time it was up and running. The drivers install was fast and painless. The graphics are an incomparable improvement over the on-board chip on my motherboard. It has (finally!) allowed me to install graphics intensive games I had bought (then subsequently shelved) and plays everything at the highest resolutions with all effects on without a pause. I haven't tried the latest and greatest games yet but Blacksite Area 51 looks amazing and runs seamlessly with my new card. In Star Wars Battlefront I can finally be treated to extras like flowing translucent blades of grass. It's the little things in life that make me happy. This card is well worth the relatively low price.

Summary: Excellent Card 2010-02-05
Comment: The card worked exactly like it was supposed to and works beautifully under Fedora 12 with dual monitors. I didn't need any of the adapters it came with, but they would allow you to hook it up to most anything you might need to.

Summary: 2 DVI + HDTV output 2010-02-05
Comment: After trying another graphics card that was shown as having an HDTV output and didn't, I tried this one after verifying on the manufacturer's site that it had the capability I wanted and needed for my particular setup. Installation was straight forward and the drivers installed without a hitch on a W7 system. The problem I was experiencing with my old card was a choppy playback on recorded hd programs via a component connection to my hdtv. This card eliminated that problem and raised my W7 index to the point where the slow part of the system is now the cpu, not the video performance as it had been before. I would recommend this card to anyone looking for a performance increase in their system. Very happy with the result.
