Got this as a gift for my daughter who is a big WOW gamer. First, you have to make sure you have enough power for this card as it really sucks it up. I had to upgrade her power supply to a 600 watt unit from her systems 350 stock unit . . . got a deal on a OZ supply that works great -- just make sure there is plenty of 12 volt rail power.

Second, this card is huge! You have to make sure there is enough length clearance as well as two slot spaces available. Had to move some of the hard drive connectors around to make space for the back of the card.

Some good design features made this a desirable card. All the hot air goes out the back slots, so it actually helps keep the entire unit cooler. The connectors on the back are solid and the card seats in perfectly. The card is very quiet compared to a ATI-based card we tested, hard to tell it is there. The fan speed varies by heat and draw and she has never had it go up even close to max. By making sure I got...Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice video card for Crysis, November 3, 2008

Definitely worth it. The SSC edition is discontinued so I don't know if this will help anybody. I have an AM2 6000+ with 3GB RAM and Vista 64. Crysis rocks with this card. It plays at 1280x1024 at ultrahigh for the first couple boards, but I had to turn it down to high settings for later boards. (Including turning the resolution down for the last big boss.)

My system couldn't push a 280 anyway, so this card was perfect. I wonder how much more I could get with PCI express 16x 2.0, but it does everything I want it to.

The seller was A+, no complaints, and fast ship time. (Electronica Direct.) Plus the card is EVGA, so if I have a problem, EVGA has very good support and RMA.

Great card. Mine came factory overclocked, even though I bought the basic version.

Handles anything I throw at it just fine, with AA turned up.

Got an awesome deal on it over a month ago, would buy it again!
