EVGA GeForce GTX 550 Ti FPB 1024 MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 2DVI/Mini-HDMI SLI Ready Graphics Card, 01G-P3-1556-KR

Thought I would upgrade from a 9800 GTO with 512MB to this one and am glad I went for it. It was a little more expensive than I usually go even though it is well priced in its tier. Very easy to install (as someone mentioned, it takes 2 slots -- also of note, it requires a 6 prong power connection to run the fan). Popped it in, booted up, went to nVidia's website to get the latest drivers (I never bother with the out of date CDs) rebooted and bam, everything was up and running in all its beautiful glory. I've been playing SWTOR lately and I'm pulling a 50-60 fps running around with everything (including shadows) on high. With shadows on low (where I actually prefer it) I have 70-80 fps on average. In quiet places (like my ship) I've seen it go as high as 107 fps. :D All in all very nice. I couldn't be happier.

I had a small problem figuring out where to put the 8 pin/6 pin plug in but I figured it out. The card was kind of big for the xps 420 case but it is still good. Runs Arma 2 on High- very high settings/ crysis at very high with no aa mass effect 2 at max 60 frames solid. Company of heroes all max settings + physic settings + 16AA 60+ frames. Just cause 2 Max settings with Physics on and 32XAA 26-42 frames. STill have to test some games. Driver install was very easy unlike Amd cards.. this card performs better then the 5770 and 6770 by a good 10-40%. I am running on a 375W power supply dell power supplies are built to last with a Q6600 Quad core 2.4GHZ intel processor 3gb ram and windows 7 ulti 32 bit. Runs at 50-66C when gaming and 40C when idle. I will get back when I test more games.

The video card arrived one day on time:D

I ordered two of these video cards to upgrade a couple of systems for SWTOR. With all settings on high we consistently get 28-35 FPS sometimes as high as 50. That makes the game basically seamless with no stutter or vid lag. When they arrived one of them was broken. I called the manufacturer as instructed by the packaging and was told to mail it directly to them and expect 7-10 days turnaround. This would also mean paying shipping on the return. Also EVGA told me $29.99 for cross shipping. I hung up and called Amazon they immediately overnighted me a new card. I just wanted to mention how great amazons customer service was and how poor evga's was.
