EVGA nVidia GeForce 8400GS 512 MB PCI-Express Video Card 512-P3-N725-LR
This review is from: EVGA nVidia GeForce 8400GS 512 MB PCI-Express Video Card 512-P3-N725-LR (Personal Computers)
The card works fine once it is installed. Difficulty was in getting the supplied driver to install, that is the reason for a 4 instead of a 5. A message that driver could not be found would come up every time driver installation was attempted. EVGA support response was quick, and they asked that I download the latest drivers from the website. I had already tried that and got the same error message. I then tried uninstalling and reinstalling the card, then the driver. When the Microsoft found new hardware panel came up I tried it, and the driver installed without any problems.
I have no idea why this happened, but the card and the new 23" Viewsonic display are working together flawlessly. EVGA support was very quick to respond also. Since everything is working fine I am not going to download any newer drivers from EVGA.
