I've had excellent vision, right up to my career which involved working at a computer every day. A trip to the eye doctor only gave me a suggestion for low powered reading glasses. I tried several but reading glasses focus too close. After a while I stopped trying and just dealt with the strain. The biggest problem was that, at the end of the day, driving was a problem since I couldn't focus well (had to squint).
When I got these glasses I was hopeful. They have the right focus range and level of magnification. My hopes were immediately justified. They work great! After spending a long day at work I can drive home and my vision is better than it used to be. I don't feel strained at all while on the computer. In fact, if I'm at the computer and I don't have them on, I can sense the strain and feel exposed.
There is only one caveat. If you have a prescription I suggest that you get the prescription version of these glasses. They are available at many...Read more

I'm a guy with extraordinarily sensitive eyes, to the point I can't walk outside without a higher-end pair of Oakley's on if I don't want the light to give me an experience akin to a camera flash going off in my face, and I find the Gunnar products to be a godsend. I spend a lot of time either in front of multiple LCD monitors or my Samsung 9000 series led tv, mostly for video games, and these glasses alter the experience significantly. The slight magnification and lens geometry snap whatever you're looking at into the center of your vision and reduce glare better than anything else I've tried. The amber lens tint reduces blues slightly, but I haven't found it to be a problem at all...one might expect everything to take on an amber tint, but that's simply not the case. My only (small) complaint is that you need to clean thes often, as the inside of the lenses get a bit smudged. I actually purchased the Catalyst Shredder model after winning a pair of the MLG Legend aviator style...Read more

As a workaholic software developer, I stare at 1-2 screens for 12+ hours a day. These glasses, while slightly silly looking (coworkers joke I'm going hunting), definitely do reduce eye strain.
Only downside to them is that they smudge really easily (could just be that this is my first pair of non-sun glasses). Definitely need to invest in a cleaning cloth as I probably clean them 4-5 times a day at least.
