The WinTV-HVR-2250 has two tuners for watching one TV program while recording another: with the built-in dual tuners, you can either watch one channel while recording another or you can record two channels at once.The WinTV-HVR-2250 is a PCI Express x1 board based on the NXP 7164 bus interface chip. The WinTV-HVR-2250 contains two tuners with a built-in TV splitter. There is one cable TV or TV antenna connector which is split, providing a video source for both tuners. For ATSC and QAM digital TV, all 18 ATSC formats including 1080i can be watched or recorded to disk as a MPEG-2 program stream.

Summary: Great Everything Card 2010-03-08
Comment: This card does pretty much everything you need. ATSC, NTSC, QAM, FM Tuner, etc. and is a breeze to install. Win 7 Media Center setup was a breeze.

Comment: Had this card up and running for about a week now.
Installation: had no problems installing this card and getting it to work with Windows 7 Home Premium. Just inserted the card into PCI-x1 slot, then installed latest drivers from Hauppauge website, rebooted, and Windows 7 detected the card as 2 analog and 2 digital tuners.
Picture quality: HD is pretty good. Unless you're an extreme videophile I think you'll be happy. Analog signal seems highly dependent on the channel I'm recording.
I have no regrets about getting this card.

Summary: Two tuners and works with Digital! Woo Hoo 2010-02-05
Comment: I like this card for what it is, and for the cost. It does what it says it will do, and it records all the shows that I want to record. I use Beyond TV with this card and it works flawlessly. The only complaint I have about this card is the fact that it sometimes hangs up the computer during start up. I know it is this card because the computer didn't do it before the card, and when I take the card out the problem goes away. I would say it happens about once out of every 20 start ups. I had an older hauppage card do the same thing to one of my other computers. It's like the computer has trouble figuring out which one is the graphics card or something....IDK but it is a livable problem.

Comment: Great TV card for the price -- I fried my last one while installing a PCI card next to it. This one allows me to record two shows at once, which I love. Works great with Windows Media Center. I've tried third-party TV tuner software but wouldn't recommend it. Media Center is slick and almost bug-free in comparison.

Comment: Product did not arrive with everytyhing I THOUGHT I was getting. I turns out that the product numbers were slightly different, and the deal I thought I was getting wasn't a deal at all.

When I called Hauppauge directly to order the balance of the parts, I mentioned what had happened, and they sent the balance of the parts FREE OF CHARGE! YEaaaa Hauppauge, Boooo Amazon.
