Though I wasn't looking for performance, I got it. The overall image quality possibilities are huge, while still maintaining playable performance on most games. It's a bit of a job for higher-detailed games to be played at such quality, but with the right tweaks, this card can handle it.
I've found that the main issue with this one is that DVI out and VGA out can't be used simultaneously for the Extended Desktop feature in Catalyst or Windows. DVI outs can be used together, but not DVI + VGA. In addition to that, another issue is that Shader Model 3.0 HDR graphics are generated faster, but without enhancements like anti-aliasing. Filtering, post-processing; all that's in the mix, but anti-aliasing is excluded; I still haven't figured out why. But, since that's not such the biggest deal-breaker out there, it only cost one star on this end of the bargain.
It's not too terribly expensive now, and is still a capable solution these days, so any penny you spend on it is worth it...Read more
