This review is from: Ati Radeon HD 3450/512MB DDR2 / Pci-express/ 4 Dvi Outputs (Personal Computers) I bought this card so I can connect four LCDs to my desktop and it works very well for that. There are two nuances you need to know:
1) If you are using Windows 7, do not install the drivers that come with the card. I isntalled the drivers that come with the card and it doesn't recognize more than two displays. I called the manufacturer and they told me to uninstall the driver (then why include them?) and use Windows 7's drivers. 2) Moving applications between LCDs results in some slowness. However, this is not a big issue for business applications, which is what most people use quad display setups for. Otherwise the card does what it's supposed to do and it's a great value. Didn't even install anything but the Windows Update provided drivers. Sometimes it drops the Aero enhancements due to low memory or performance, but that's not what I use it for anyway. 0 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By This review is from: Ati Radeon HD 3450/512MB DDR2 / Pci-express/ 4 Dvi Outputs (Personal Computers) Windows 7 doesn't run with it so it really bothered me. Now I have to find something else that will work with the OS. |
