I believe this is the highest quality 2D video card available from anyone. I use it for photo and video editing. Its drivers are rock stable and unintrusive, and what you see on the screen seems to look better than other video cards. I removed and replaced a much more expensive "workstation" video card with this Matrox and the improvement was dramatic. With the Matrox, text looks better and is easier to read. It's easier to discern the differences between highly similar fonts. The workstation video card made images look grainy and dead. With the Matrox card, there is a certain "live" quality to images that I have never seen with other video cards. This card also uses a fairly low amount of power and will not require a giant power supply to operate. Driver installation is simple and the drivers are bullet-proof.
