MSI ATI Radeon HD5450 1 GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card R5450-MD1GH

This is a good buy if you're not looking for anything too intense. Other sites said this card could go to a full 1080p. It can, but it doesn't use up the full screen. Games look very nice, but the frames per second are average.

I have only had this card on line for a few weeks. I bought it because it was a fairly hot card at a reasonable price. It's probably not for extreme gamers but works well for that area between word processing and serious gaming. It seemed a shame to put much less on an Intel i5-750 processor board. The cogent points are probably that it's a PCIe bussed board with all of the usual graphics capability of a higher end board but only cost around $50. It is completely compatible with the Intel DP55 series motherboards and has Linux drivers available. It's too early to tell about reliability but I have had good luck with the ATI Radeon series of boards in the past.

This was the final piece of the puzzle to get the Blu-Ray TrueHD soundtrack bitstreamed to my receiver from my HTPC. Flash and Silverlight are both optimized for this hardware as well. Great performance from a silent card.
