I had a few requirements for a video card for my home theater pc, 1) HDCP Compliant HDMI 2) 1080p full screen playback 3) 5.1 surround sound pass thru to the HDMI.
My previous card although advertised as HDCP compliant wasn't. So i picked this one hoping for the best. I plugged it into my Vista Ultimate powered HTPC , i already had the ATi Catalyst 8.5 drivers installed from my previous card, it just required a bit of reconfiguring and a reboot. Then I was set. Cyberlink BluRay advisor gave all green lights for passing the requirements. So i dropped in a BluRay movie and fired up PowerDVD 8 and it played, a step farther than my old card. The movie playback was smooth full screen at 720p so i upped the resolution to 1080p and restarted the movie, it played back smooth where my previous card had not.
