Great card. I upgraded from an AMD 5870 and I am seeing about a 20-30% increase in speed in almost every single game!
It's quiet at idle which is a huuuuge plus for me. It's also very quiet while watching a Blu-ray(2-10% GPU usage during playback).
The only thing bad about this card is the size. It's 12" long so it won't fit in smallish cases very easily. I had to take some tin snips to my 3.5" bays to make some room for the card.
I bumped the core clock up to 980mhz and the memory to 1400mhz as soon as I got the drivers up and running and haven't had a hiccup yet. I'm probably just going to leave it at those clocks...

I returned my Asus HD 6970 Direct CU II and got 2 of these bad boys, and set them up in crossfire. Man oh man was I glad I made this decision. The performance boost is phenomenal. I got double frame rates in most of the games. The cards run super smooth and cool. The top card idles around 45 and full load at 75, while bottom card idles around 35 and full load at 75. There is only one PCI-E slot in between these cards, I was a bit worried about the top card but it turns our more than fine.
Having used Asus Direct CU II series I can honestly say this card does a much better job at cooling than Asus Direct CU II. Asus Direct CU II is a 3 slot card that has a massive cooler attached to the GPU. You would have expected a card that size should run super cool - not so compared with MSI R6970 Lightning Frozr III. MSI has done a great job with cooling on this card, and it is a 2 slot card which makes CF much more managable.

I bought this card last month and have been using it almost daily. Unfortunately, the card runs pretty hot. If you don't have several fans in your case, this is probably going to cause you some problems. Proper airflow aside, the card itself is amazing. Like another user said, it is a whopping 12 inches, which means most small and even some medium cases aren't going to cut it.
If you have the cooling for it and the case, it's a wonderful thing. It'll last you a long time.
