I purchased this video card to extend the life of a legacy system. The motherboard is an Intel D865GBF with an Intel 3.00 GHz Pentium 4 CPU. I needed to upgrade from the on-board video chipset to be able to upgrade from Ubuntu 11.04 to Ubuntu 11.10. I did my due diligence and checked out the specs and features of all the AGP 8X boards I could identify. This board specced out best, including a cooling fan, necessary for the chassis geometry. This was not the cheapest nVidia 6200 board I found, but its overall specs and physical configuration looked to meet my needs perfectly. BTW, I needed the nVidia chipset; Ubuntu GNU/Linux has significantly better built-in support for nVidia over ATI.
The board arrived promptly, but there was one hitch. Nvidia Geforce 6200 AGP8X 512MB DDR2 VGA Dvi-i Tv Low ProfileThis upgrade might be helpful to people who have an older DELL 4600 Dimension PC.
This card worked very well and brings new life to a machine that might otherwise been headed to the recycle center.
The DELL is used for fairly basic stuff like MS Word, Quicken, MS Excel, Internet searching, email, etc. I don't do gaming so extreme speed is not a concern.
I previously bought MS Win 7 operating system that could be loaded on 2 PC's and the upgrade from Vista to Win7 64 bit on my HP Quad Core PC was easier than upgrading the DELL from XP to Win 7. However, MS provides good information on how to successfully upgrade XP to Win 7.

I bought this to keep an old Dell workstation going with a new wide screen monitor and it's working great. It's hard to tell from the specs here what resolutions is supports, and what Windows versions it works with, but I am running it at 1920x1080 on Windows 7 and it's working great. The manufacturer's website had drivers for Windows 7 (x64 and x32) that were simple to download and install.
I use the PC for business, not gaming, so no idea if it performs well for that, video, etc.
