Comment: Everything on Amazon's part was great, as well as a nice $10 dollar rebate. Card worked somewhat well. Don't bother trying to watch any videos above 360p, it ain't gonna happen. Make sure your games are played at the lowest setting possible, and make sure you keep all of your documents. You're going to need them when you deal with PNY to get your warranty replacement.

Comment: I needed to dust off an old Compaq desktop XP machine and use it. The computer has an Asus Salmon motherboard and sempron processor 1Gb ram and onboard SIS graphics. The SIS video out did not support widescreen monitors. After installing this video card widscreen monitor support was provided via DVI or VGA connectors. Large screen widescreen monitors are only supported via VGA connector due to the 1900 x 1200 resolution limit of DVI on this card. Up to 2048 x 1536 resolution is supported through VGA. This upgrade allowed me to upgrade this computer to Vista but the SIS motherboard drivers are not quite right. I knew this would be the case but it works well enough for what I need.

Tips: If going from onboard SIS graphics to support widescreen this upgrade is very good. If going from SIS graphics on a Vista machine this will not resolve the SIS issues related to the motherboard drivers.

Comment: My older 2002 desktop E machines model T 3256 athlon 64 3200+ cpu, 1 gb ddr memory, has/had integrated geforce 4 graphics and now it's using this geforce 6200 256 mb 64bit agp card to help it along. I play Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 on this machine along with some older games and I just wanted a little better performance than I was getting. Well the good news is I am getting better performance. Before I could play one golfer on the lowest gaming/graphic settings and I would occasionally have some instability. The graphics were acceptable but nothing to write home about. Now I can play up to 3 golfers on the lowest gaming/graphics settings and the game looks noticably better(the golf ball looks like an actual golf ball when in motion not a fuzz ball) and the gameplay is stable. Installing this card required a trick that my pci-e card did not require. At first I didn't think the graphic card was going to fit in the agp slot but I actually had to install this card at an angle. It didn't go straight into the slot. The back portion of the card (towards the front of the computer case) starts to go in first and then you apply pressure towards the front of the card to get it to go into the slot. When you tighten down on the retaining screw you need to keep an eye on the card to make sure it doesn't partially unseat itself in the process. XP/Vista/ and win 7 have a driver rollback feature so I decided this time to skip the uninstallation of the geforce 4 drivers and just inserted the cd-rom which had the October 2009 version of the nvidia driver suite(too lazy to go to the nvidia website and download the 83mb Jun 15th 2010 nvidia driver suite updates cause I didn't think it would matter for this old card. The cd rom took a pretty good amount of time to install the drivers and I was almost ready to cancel the operation when I walked out of the room for 5 minutes and came back to an installation complete screen(I guess patience is golden). Later I ran 'Driver Detective' and it downloaded the latest updated drivers. The graphic card package comes with what looks like a short video component cable for home movie transfer or whatever and a dvi/vga adapter plug which might come in handy someday if I break the 15 pin socket vga connection on the back of the this video card. This video/graphic card works, is stable and gives me improved performance without upping the energy output of my computer at all. I've tried a pricier NVIDIA 6800 model 128mb 256 bit ddr2 and a geforce 7300 512mb 128 bit ddr2 card but did not like the 30 Watts of constant increased energy draw for the very modest gains in performance and the cards would run hot reducing the amount of time I could use them. I even tried the upgraded version of this card 512mb ddr2 64 bit and that card also ran hot and had to be removed because of computer stability issues(it's just a backup box. What can I say!). This is a solid energy efficient card and I recommend it for older machines with single core cpu's.

Comment: Bought this when the video card on my parents older machine (P4) went out. They didn't have the money to buy a new machine and the rest of the PC was running fine for their needs (email, web browsing, light word processing) so they were just looking for a reasonably-priced replacement and this card fit the bill perfectly. It is not the fastest card out there, nor is it the most full-featured card out there so if you are a gamer then this isn't the card for you. But if you are Joe Average home user with a slightly older machine then this is a solid card that has both VGA and DVI outputs (DVI is great to have if you use an LCD monitor with DVI inputs - the picture quality is noticeably better than a regular VGA output).
