PowerColor ATI Radeon HD 4850 1GB GDDR3 PCS

I upgraded from an nvidia 9400gt which came with my computer. This is the first time I've ever upgraded anything in my pc and it was really easy to install. The card comes with a disc with drivers on it but you'll want to go to ATI's website and get the newer ones as the ones on the disc aren't up to date. The card itself is much larger than my old one, I have a somewhat small case and it fit but I had to move some wires around. It runs somewhat hot but if you have decent cooling it shouldn't be much of a problem. Now what's really important is performance. This card so far has maxed out or nearly maxed everything I've tried. Borderlands, The Sims 3, STALKER, Team Fortress 2, Oblivion, and Fallout 3 all run great.

The 4850 gives good value and still is a good video card that offers a performance/price ratio that is most acceptable. Best news is it only has one 6-pin connect and you only need a 450 watt power supply. I almost dropped a star in this rating as there is NO CROSSFIRE BRIDGE RIBBON included in the package. So be forewarned if you are intending to crossfire.
