Summary: Great performance upgrade for older Dell running Windows 7 2010-05-02
Comment: I purchased this to improve the Windows Experience Index rating of my three-year old Dell Dimension desktop after installing Windows 7 from Vista. The Dell has 2Gb of RAM and an Intel Core 2 running 6400@2.13Gz. My options for a new card were limited to 512mb by the power supply of the PC and to a PCI-Express slot. The card couldn't exceed the 300W power supply and there are no PCI-E 1Gb cards that run at that power. The 9400GT is the best of the cards that meet the more limited parameters of the Dell.
The card easily dropped into the PCI-E slot with no problems. Windows 7 recognized the card and setup was nearly automatic. I didn't need the supplied software or any tech assistance. Within 20 minutes, the card was working with current drivers and desktop app for controlling its features.
The Windows Experience Index rating improved about 10%, and I could discern an improvement in speeds for various tasks and desktop operations.
Sparkle tech support was also very responsive and helpful as I shopped and learned the limits of my machine. They helped insure that I got the right card for my limited power supply, and I'm totally satisfied with the results.

Summary: Good Card For Non-Gamers 2009-05-06
Comment: First of all if you are a serious game player this is not for you.
This is a budget Graphics Card for those people who want to upgrade
the crummy Video card that came with their HP or Dell or Gateway
Computer. That was me and I am pleased with the results.
The Card has 512Mb of DDR2 Ram so it won't suck up all of your
system memory when you stream videos or view high res pictures.
The card has a DVI output for best picture on most mid-level monitors.
The best part is the Sparkle NVidia 9400GT has no fan, so it is quiet
and won't need to be hooked up to your power supply. This is good news
for owners of most out-of-box computers (HP,Dell etc.)The power supply
of most Dell or Hp or Gateway Computers is rarely more than 375 watts.
This Graphics Card requires only 300 watts. All in all a very nice
upgrade at a fair price for Dell owners like me. Oh and BTW very easy to
install, though I don't recommend using the enclosed install disc for
Drivers. It is out of date and you would be better served by going to [...] to Download the latest Drivers.
