GeForce 2 I had in my P3 1.0 machine with 512 ram! I recently purchased a whole new computer, P4 2.67ghz with 1 gb ram! With the Geforce 4 mx. It is definitley better than the GeForce 2, but not by much. It can handle antilaising at a fast frame rate, unlike the geforce 2, but doesn't have the programmable shaders the geforce 3, geforce 3 ti200/500, geforce 4 ti4200/4400/4600 do. And The GeForce 3 series are more powerful than the GeForce 4 MX series tho if you still have a geforce 2 mx, upgrading to a Geforce 4 mx or higher isn't a bad idea - don't listen to those pc magazines that say "updating from a geforce 2 to a higher geforce card series is the last thing you want to do", because YOU WILL NOTICE more than a SMALL DIFFERENCE! Though the MX420 still features sdram, the 440, and higher is where DDR SDRAM is on the geforce video cards. This video card isn't all that bad for 3-D applications.
