VisionTek Geforce2 MX 32 MB PCI Graphics Card

I have an older Intel i810 based computer (Celeron 500, 192MB of RAM, and Windows 2000 Pro) and needed an inexpensive PCI graphics card that would actually make this machine run some games at an acceptable framerate. This card fit the bill perfectly. It is at least 2.5x faster than the i810 in benchmarks, and the actual experience in games like Quake II and especially Serious Sam is dramatically improved. Quake II is silky smooth at 1024x768 and Serious Sam is quite playable at that same resolution. And the images this card produces are awesome. A great bonus of this card is that VisionTek keeps the drivers very up-to-date with NVIDIA's official drivers. In fact, VisionTek makes the reference cards for NVIDIA's chipsets, so you get a card from a manufacturer who know's NVIDIA's chipsets like no other. if you are thinking of buying this card for a secondary card in a multi-montitor setup, forget it. this card will only run as a primary while your expensive agp is secondary.
