This review is from: VisionTek ATI Radeon HD 3650 1 GB DDR2 AGP Graphics Card 900284 (Personal Computers) Overall I am highly pleased with the performance of this AGP Video Card. Purchased to replace a 512MB card that recently gave up the ghost. The only downside was that it does not take a standard power supply plug. Recently upgraded my power supply to a new 850 watt power supply and there were no connectors for this video card. The power supply connector on it is an older 4 pin disc drive power connection. Went to local Computer store and purchased a connection for $5.00. Relatively painless. Was a snap to install and works flawlessly. Would highly recommend as an upgrade on an older AGP video supplied system. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Chris Hooper (Fremont, CA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: VisionTek ATI Radeon HD 3650 1 GB DDR2 AGP Graphics Card 900284 (Personal Computers) My Sony VAIO desktop was made in 2003. It still works great, but the video card which came with it can't drive my new 24" monitor at full resolution. The VisionTek card works great and has no problem with 1920x1200. On top of that, it also feels faster, though since I don't play many games that is hard to judge.
Noteworthy is that my card arrived with two DVI ports and an SVideo port -- which doesn't match the picture (VGA/SVideo/DVI). That wasn't an issue in my case. If it's an issue for you, I suspect you'll be able to find someone who can share a spare DVI-to-VGA adapter. Also, note that you need an extra 4-pin drive power connector (molex) to provide enough power for the card. Luckily I had a spare splitter and the card is sharing with one of my hard drives. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) ATI graphics and display control software are excellent. This product from VisionTek is a very economic option to upgrade your computer. Easy to install and acceptable performance from its 1024MB of DDR memory. Recomended for all those stuck with out-dated computers with AGP slot. |
