Summary: WOW! 2010-07-29
Comment: This card is amazing. I bought an HP computer a few weeks ago that has a fast processor and 8 gigs of ram. The graphics, however, were integrated and sucked. After playing a few games on it, I found that I could only play games on low-quality graphic settings. This encouraged me to buy a graphics card.
After doing some research I bought this card. I received the card earlier today, installing it was fairly easy.
To put things in perspective, last night I was playing StarCraft 2 on 'Low' settings, now the recommended settings are 'Ultra'!! It is playing flawlessly with these settings! My jaw literally dropped when I saw how much of a difference this card made. My windows index score for graphic changed from 4.4 to 7.4, and gaming graphics score changed from 5.4 to 7.4.
Mind you, I have never even thought of buying and installing a graphics card, I always pictured geek squad or a friend doing it for me. But after watching some instructional YouTube videos, it seemed like an easy process, which it was.
If you want to upgrade your gaming graphics, and this card fits your budget, then buy it! I honestly think paying more for a card would be pointless.
However, my screen resolution is 1680 x 1050 (21 inches). If my screen was bigger with a higher resolution, then I would probably have to buy a more expensive card if I wanted 'Ultra' settings. Also, make sure you have at least a 500W power supply (450 is recommended on the box). I bought a 500W OCZ modXstream power supply from amazon and it is working fine.

Comment: 1940 X 1080 no probelm on Battlefield. Bad Company 2. No problem. It is a reasonably mid priced card.
Recommend to anyone.

Summary: Didn't buy this card but I have experience w/ XFX 2010-07-14
Comment: I bought a Radeon HD 4650 XFX model w/ 1 gig ram and replaced a 5 year old 6600 GT w/ 256 ram and experienced a dramatic framerate loss. I went through the online support and while team was polite, I found them to be condescending, not respecting my experience, they suggested common knowledge and were downright flat on ideas to fix the problem. I would expect a team with as good a reputation as XFX to have original ideas and be willing to examine the situation from a unique point of view. I don`t believe there was a technical fault to the card mainly based on their confirmation that the 3dMark06 score being "more or less where it should be", I believe there was something wrong with the support, especially their unwillingness to examine any system info I provided. I tossed the card in the trash and re-installed the 6600 GT (and have been less frustrated) until I find a better card. Believe me, I will do more research this time. I would recommend to everyone to stay away from XFX

Comment: The card is fantastic runs almost all my games at the highest settings. Haven't had a problem whatsoever. Amazing GPU highly recommended for PC builder on a budget. My only complaint was the packaging c'mon Amazon these cards are pricey and delicate. The box came with a few dents.

Summary: Radeon beats Nvidia 2010-06-30
Comment: At last a graphics card that is DirectX 11 compatable and one that Windows 7 can handle.
