Did a lot of research and this was the absolute best in price/performance to upgrade my legacy AGP system to a hardcore gaming machine. It was $10 less when I bought it though. The power requirements state 450w power supply but I'm running fine with 300w. I actually have a CD-ROM, two hard disks, and three PCI cards running as well on this machine but it has no extra fans other than that of the CPUs.
XFX have good support and a fantastic lifetime warranty if you register. So don't forget to register. The fan on this card is silent yet the card runs at a cool 52 celcius at idle and 56 while gaming ! The card's core speed also automatically slows down when it reaches a dangerous 125 celcius in order to provide safe overclocking.
Strange: overclocking is not officially supported by the vendor, even though they provide you a software tool and document on the driver CD to help you overclock !
One thing you have to keep in mind, the card is a long one ! I...Read more

I upgraded to this card from an Nvidia FX5200 128MB to get better graphics for World of Warcraft. With the new card, I get about 30fps most of the time, slowing down to 15 fps when there are many characters on the screen (Ironforge.) However, it runs perfectly fine in instances. This is @ 1280x1024, max everything. Additional info:
* dual DVI out (2 LCD screens - though only 1 screen shows WoW)
* 2.4GHz Pentium 4
* 1.5GB RAM (1GB is a must if you alt-tab a lot from WoW)
* 480W Antec PSU
Pros:
+ Great performance for World of Warcraft.
+ Dual DVI output. Includes 1 DVI to VGA dongle
+ 256 bit memory interface. Actually, I'm not 100% sure on this, but in theory, it should be better than the 128 bit memory interface for the other XFX 6800XT model.
Cons:
- Fan is a little noisy. I wouldn't say loud, but you definitely know its there.
- There are occasional artifacts. I'm not sure if it is the card or driver...Read more

This Video card was a great advance for me. I had a FX5200 and it's obvious the huge gap between these two cards. I was planning to buy a new computer instead of buying a new graphic card, but when I was searching a new one I realized that this video card was capable of giving another live to my Pentium IV 3Ghz and 1Gb Ram.
