The factory-installed 256MB video card died on my wife's hp media center. She's not a gamer, so I wasn't interested in buying a high-end gaming card. And her PC only allows one slot for the video card, so space was an issue anyway. I read the reviews about this one and thought it was worth a try.

Installation was easy, although the factory-installed power supply wasn't powerful enough for this card, so I also had to replace the power supply (different review). I chose the Corsair CMPSU-650TX for that purpose. After plugging in the video card I had the software installed within minutes and left the software on the default settings. In the course of a couple weeks, I made a few minor changes to the software settings, but nothing I would think any other person couldn't do. Simple changes that the software guided me through.
