This review is from: ZOTAC nVidia GeForce GT240 ZONE 1 GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card ZT-20404-20L (Personal Computers) I purchased my computer in August of 2007. By January of 2009, the fan on the original video card died, so I replaced it with a highly-recommended video card made by a different manufacturer. However, by February of 2010, the fan on the second video card began to whine and grind. After disassembling the fan assembly and realizing that the fan on the card was not an easily user-serviceable part and would cost about $80 to replace, I decided I was done with fans on video cards. However, the reason I bought this card is because there is a hack in Adobe Premiere CS5 that will allow you to use GPU acceleration with this card, which normally requires a $500+ actively cooled quadro card.
So, for under 100 bucks I got GPU acceleration in Adobe Premiere CS5, passive, silent cooling, and the card has played any game I've thrown at it just fine to boot. 5 stars, easy. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
