Not the latest or greatest, but the performance is adequate and the quality of the component seems fine. The fans on these things usually give out pretty quick if the quality is low. I've been running it 24/7 for months with no problem and with no noticeable fan noise. Did I mention its very inexpensive? By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) The card was very easy to install. Windows 7 picked it right up. I did not have to install any drivers myself. I run my computer 24/7 with all power saving features turned off, and the video card is holding up quite well. This review is from: Zotac ZT-84MEH3P-FSL GeForce 8400 GS 512MB 64-bit GDDR2 (567MHz/667MHz) (Personal Computers) I bought this card 8 months ago. Yesterday night, I heard a sharp bang in my desktop, and the screen went dark; followed by the smell of burnt electronics. I opened the case to see a resistor (it says "R0" on the top) popped off the card and sitting on the bottom. Needless to say I'll have to get another one. I have old computers who have been running flawlessly for 8+ years now; nary a problem with them. But these days it appears some manufacturers really cut corners and use unreliable components; Zotac appears to be one of them. |
