5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive graphics card, December 19, 2009

This review is from: Zotac ZT-98GEY3G-FSL ECO GeForce 9800 GT 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 (550MHz/1800MHz) (Personal Computers)
Got a zotac 9800gt today had to replace the pny 9800gt i just bought yesterday(12.18.09) as the brand new pny 9800gt i got didn't work out of the box. i knew i should've listened to reviews about pny.

Anyway been testing the zotac 9800gt, throwing every game i got(ie. assassins creed, guild wars, Multiwinia, etc) with no sign of struggle at all. the graphics card's performance is also impressive its been crunching numbers for (seti@home and world community grid) faster than my CPU as the GPU has CUDA and as mentioned by the previous reviewer you could hardly hear the fan and i like the heatsink that occupies the entire side of the card which helps dissipate heat quicker.

Also a good thing about this card is its size (single slot). my motherboard power connector is right next to its pci-e x16 slot which would have trouble fitting a dual slot card as my pc tower kinda cramp now due to my 700W PSU wiring. i would definitely recommend this card if you have some...Read more

I've used it for about a month, and the graphics card's performance was quite impressive.
The games I played were(each applications about 8-9hours straight),

Dead Space: 1680x1050, Max graphics setting, 30-40 fps
Resident evil 5: 1680x1050, Max graphics setting, 40-50 fps
Need for Speed Undercover: 1680x1050, Max graphics setting, 30-40 fps
Fallout 3: 1440 x 900, High graphics setting, 50-75 fps (some hiccups in the wilderness)
World of Warcraft: 1680 x 1050, graphics preference maxed out, 50-65 during WG battle. 70-80 in Dalaran.

The graphics card runs very quiet, I actually had to open my case to see if the fan was running lol
I would recommend this graphics card if you are stuck with your current 350w psu.
Nvidia Geforce9800GT 1GB GPUs are nowhere near high end graphics card anymore these days, but its good enough to run most of the graphics demanding applications in max graphic preference.

Oh, one...Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Zotac ZT-98GEY3G-FSL ECO GeForce 9800 GT 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 (550MHz/1800MHz), August 5, 2010

Ok, I did tons of research.. I wanted this card due to the fact I got my hands on Pentium D 820 dual core with and Intel Mother board.. So I had to upgrade from the Stock Video card.. I am not a gamer but I wanted to watch some movies and Edit some Video and make this a Server. Ok "What the problem is.." <----- Slang) I wanted to get a card that would work with my funky Power supply.. It is a only a 300W PCU... Yes I could have picked up a $50 card but, If this card can work with that power supply why not get the Best in Class.. Ok.. I placed the order.. The Amazon site said that it was "Packing the order" BUT for 3 damn days!! WTH.. The only thing I can think of is that when I changed the Order to the Free Shipping they did want to send it in 3 day so they held on to it so it would arrive in 7days.. Ok.. Now back to the Product.. It arrived ZOTAC makes a few Diff Products with the Same name but Diff Specs.. The other Guys said all of the Tech Diff so no need to go over that...Read more
